It seems like Valentine’s Day is a theme that gets me going this year! After coming up with a guide on digital products to sell online for Valentine’s and a gifting guide for couples, I’m now continuing on the same length with this post full of inspiration for Valentine’s Day outfits! Let’s be honest, whether you have big plans for a romantic night or just want to spend a casual day with your lover, you’ll definitely want to embrace the love in the atmosphere and theme your outfit accordingly.

To help any others out there who are looking for fun clothes for this Valentine’s Day, or for anyone needing ideas on how to style some of their items, I’ve brought together 23 different outfits. I’ve tried to vary the styles and vibes so that it can fit everyone’s taste! So let’s jump right into it without wasting any more time~

Soft Pink Elegance and Boho Chic Sweetness

I don’t care what anyone else says, Valentine’s two most emblematic colors are Pink and Red. That means that a lot of the outfit ideas I’ll share with you will include one of the two shades. Don’t panic if you don’t like these colors, as I won’t necessarily make them dominant colors all the time! As I mentioned, I wanted to include styles to suit all tastes.

To get back on track with what I was saying before, I somehow find that many of the hues used in most Valentine’s Day-themed items or clothing pieces can be obnoxious and a bit too much if you know what I mean, but I can still say with certainty that all hope is not lost!

That is the case with this first outfit which is centered around a gorgeous midi dress in a stunning shade of pink. What I really love about this dress aside from the blushy, dusty pink and the lace details is actually the pattern of the fabric. If you look closely at it, you’ll realize it mimics the writing you’d see in a newspaper. I feel like from a certain distance, it kinda looks like velvet, but then you take another look and you’ll notice the twist! It definitely is quite unique compared to the usual dresses you’d see around. You can elevate the look with sparkly accessories like the earrings and strappy heels I chose for this one!

For the second outfit, I definitely wanted to curate an outfit with flowers in this post. I feel like hearts and flowers are the most reminiscent of Valentine’s Day, and this Boho dress is perfect in my opinion for the occasion, especially if you’re planning to have a cute little picnic or something. It will for sure be a hit with the soft pastel girlies out there! I chose the beige one for this look as I want to offer some variety. My favorite details have to be the adorable pattern as well as the ruffles on the lower hem of the dress. And to finish off the boho look, I think that some layered jewelry is the best addition!

Classic Glam and casual coziness

For these two looks, we’re going for complete opposites!

I don’t think it’s actually possible to think of a classy outfit for a romantic night out and not talk about the classic “Little Black Dress”. Whether it’s long-sleeved like this one or short-sleeved, a little black dress is a must-have in any wardrobe. It can be worn for special occasions or nights out, and the simpler it is, the more versatile it becomes! Since this one has a sexy neckline and shows off the shoulders, I relied on accessories such as a crystal purse and earrings (they also come in a heart shape, so cute!) to add some glam to this very elegant ensemble.

As for our other outfit idea, we’re opting for comfort without sacrificing our cuteness! With this outfit, you can “acknowledge” Valentine’s Day without going over the top as it’s a pretty casual look. The knit top is big and warm, which can be a good choice for those of you who live in regions where February is still cold! Pair it with straight-leg jeans, some lace-up sneakers, and an adorable red ribbon and you find yourself with the simplest yet cutest look for the day!

Vintage Inspired and Edgy Valentine Vibes

For these two Valentine’s Day outfit ideas, we’re also going to explore two opposite styles! For one outfit, we’re taking advantage of the class that some retro clothing items bring, and for the other, we’re going for a more “badass” feel.

I don’t know about you, but I find retro dresses to die for! I know that not everyone agrees with that and some may even find that style to be too “old-fashioned”, but I know that there are some lovely people out there rocking this style! And so for any lovely lady who wants to channel her vintage self for this Valentine’s Day, this outfit is for you!

On the other hand, if you’d rather rock out in a faux leather jacket (you’ll notice this one is quite different from the usual types!) and distressed jeans, you can still embrace Valentine’s Day spirit! Adorn a cute graphic T-shirt that fits the theme and you’re ready to go.

Playful Ensemble and Sophisticated Jumpsuit

I had so much fun putting together these two outfits! I had a soft spot for the pleated skirt in this first outfit and I really wanted to style it with other items. And when I saw that knot wrap shirt, I knew I found the cutest combo! I also really love those sparkly ballet flats and that’s something coming from me because I’m truly not one for flats haha! The “pearly” accessories soften the overall look a lot in my opinion, and I’m all for it!

Then we have that gorgeous jumpsuit, which was truly a “Coup de Cœur” like the French say! It’s so elegant without being over the top, and you can enhance the look with cohesive accessories that will make you shine brightly. I know that the mint green color isn’t particularly reminiscent of Valentine’s Day or love, but I think all things are balanced, especially when you pair it with that cute heart-shaped purse! If it’s too cold outside, you can also add a blazer or cardigan to complement the look with class.

Lovely athleisure and Whimsical Tulle

When I was brainstorming ideas for this post, I was trying to think of different occasions that could occur during Valentine’s Day. I know that some would treat that day with more enthusiasm than others who would go all out for it. That’s why I didn’t want to focus only on fancy clothing pieces or outfits for a romantic candlelit dinner at a luxury restaurant.

Perhaps you’ll just go out and run some errands. Or if we want to allow ourselves to “dream” a bit, perhaps you’ll have to go through a long time at the airport for a romantic getaway with your lover! In any case, you need an outfit that’ll truly let you be comfortable, and that’s where this matching set that creates an athleisure style comes in handy. If you’re like me, you’d probably don this outfit just to lounge around your house. But still, no matter what happens on the 14th of February, you can be sure of one thing: this outfit is as comfy as it’s cute!

And as for our other curated look, we can see that it’s quite the contrast with this one. I allowed myself a little bit of fantasy with that cute 3D tulle skirt. I don’t know about you, but I personally find that those ruffles create a rose pattern that is simply to die for! It’s just so romantic, and I really love that shade of pink. This is actually the hue I refer to when I say I love pink!

Earthy Tones and Passionate Contrasting Textures

I brought together these two outfits after seeing the two tops while searching for a cute bustier top. I find the mermaid/sea-shell-like bustier to die for! I just think it adds a sense of romanticism to the whole outfit and pairing it with deep-colored wide-legged pants makes for a sensational look. As for the other bustier, since it looks really soft, especially with the flower pattern, styling it with a black leather skirt and a red blazer creates a contrast that brings forward a passionate vibe.

Flowers and hearts for the softest of looks

Valentine's Day Outfit Idea with a preppy and cute style

I’ve brought another floral dress because I’m guilty of romanticizing them! Sweet pastel floral dresses like this one make me think of a scene in a love story where the main character is frolicking in a field of flowers and her lover looks at her completely enamored. And since we’re celebrating love, there’s nothing better than a sweet look like this one! I especially love the little flower hair pins which are just the cutest.

For the second look, we’re going for the most adorable preppy style. I definitely can imagine a college or university student wearing this during Valentine’s Day to celebrate their love with a cozy studying session or café date. My favorite piece out of this preppy look definitely has to be the heart-patterned sweater. Adorable!

Red, the sultry color of passion

If you’re going on a dinner date or a party, these two outfits are definitely worth looking at! The main pieces are two gorgeous red dresses in different styles for varied tastes. On one hand, you have a deeper red that’s more muted for the gorgeous velvet dress, while the other is bright red for a bolder look. Both will make you exude confidence, and the different but cohesive accessories and shoes complement the looks so that you end up looking gorgeous for your night out during Valentine’s Day.

Sweet Casual and Killer Chic Vibes

We’re once again pulling a twist on what is supposed to be a casual, simple outfit that’s sure to leave you feeling most comfortable during the day. This is perfect for colder climates where you’d still want to look cute for Valentine’s Day. The adorable oversized hoodie is super versatile and not overly “cheesy”. In fact others wouldn’t even realize that you’re just dressing up for Valentine’s Day! The jeans are also very comfy, and there’s nothing better than chunky shoes to complete the whole look. You could very well work during the day with that outfit, and then at night swap out to the second outfit for a more formal evening!

Just like the little black dress we saw before in this post, I had to include a classic little red dress as well. Let’s face it, that’s a staple in wardrobes, and you can sport a killer aesthetic with this little gem!

Soft Pink Elegance and Boho Chic Sweetness

We’re continuing our Valentine’s Day outfit ideas with some looks that are more suited for parties or more formal activities for that day. If you have a suspicion your lover is going to propose during Valentine’s Day, I’d 100% recommend trying one of these styles on so that you look incredible in photos or videos taken of that magic moment. You have one outfit that consists of a gorgeous mini dress and the off-shoulder details kill me anytime I look at it! I feel like pairing it with satin gloves just gives a wholly refined glam look.

As for the other dress, this one literally comes out straight of a fairytale in my opinion. I can see a romantic proposal going on with this dress. It’s just so dreamy and the layers create a vaporous effect. The little flowers also add some detailing to that gorgeous tulle, and once again, the off-shoulder sleeves are divine!

Semi-Casual and Denim Sweetness

For yet another casual look this Valentine’s Day, we’re opting for a leather pants and denim combo that will seduce more than one! To sweeten the deal a bit, we’re using a cute sweater with a heart stitched on. A simple but effective look for the sweethearts out there!

For those who want to sport a semi-casual look, we’re pairing a pencil skirt that’s full of charm with a knotted blouse that’s just as adorable. My favorite accessory for this outfit is the little heart bag that’s super stylish and sparkly.

Playful Romper Charm

We’re finishing off our Valentine’s Day outfit ideas post with a playful and charming little look! This romper, while very simple, is still incredibly good-looking and will flatter your silhouette with its little belt. It’s lightweight and perfect for higher temperatures that start coming along with the approach of spring. We’re using heart-shaped and patterned accessories to not forget that it’s still Valentine’s Day after all!

With this last look, we’re done for this occasion! I sure hope that you’ve been able to find inspiration on how to style your outfit for Valentine’s Day. Whether you have a formal activity planned ahead or whether you just want to spend a simple moment with your lover, you can find an outfit for any occasion and any style. I hope you’ll have the sweetest of Valentine’s Day, and see you soon!
