I don’t know about you, but when it comes to summer fruits, I simply cannot get enough of peaches. They’re literally my favorite thing to consume during those hot, dreadful months! I can devour a whole basket of them (especially if they’re well-chilled, yum!) or I like to spice things up and use them in different recipes. So if you’re looking for some ideas to use up your peaches, whether you want a delicious breakfast, lunch, dinner or even dessert, these are for you!

1. Peach Cobbler

We’re starting off with a classic dessert that is as simple to make as it is to eat! I’m sure everyone has at least once in their life eaten peach cobbler, and trust me, it’s worth it if you like these fruits. You can use fresh or canned peaches, mix them with sugar, cinnamon and some lemon juice for the base. Then for the crispy topping, you’ll want to prepare some flour with sugar and combine together with butter to form a biscuit-like topping. Once baked and cooled down a little bit, I like to eat mine with a scoop of ice cream. A delish!

2. Grilled Peaches

Grilled peaches are super versatile as in you can enjoy them with breakfast, as a dessert or as a side dish for dinner! You’ll want to halve them and take the pit off to use them as is. You can then either caramelize them by adding some sugar on top and grilling them before serving with some ice-cream. Or you can brush them with some olive oil (and seasonings) then grill them until you see char marks. You can then drizzle them with balsamic glaze or sprinkle them with feta cheese.

3. Peach Smoothie

I usually don’t really drink smoothies during the year, but when it comes to summer, I love to start off my morning with a chilled, refreshing peach smoothie. You can blend your frozen or fresh peaches with some milk or yogurt for that extra thickness, add other fruits and chia seeds if you’d like and go ahead and blend it.

4. Peach Salsa

If you’re looking for a fresh and easy appetizer, peach salsa is the best option. It’s vibrant, it’s flavorful, and it’s so simple to make. You just have to dice up your fresh peaches, combine them with onions, jalapeño, and cilantro, and drizzle a generous splash of lime juice. This salsa is best served with some crispy tortilla chips.

5. Peach Galette

I’m a big fan of rustic pastries, and I feel like a galette is easier to make than a traditional pie since you don’t have to deal with a lattice. You can simply arrange the sliced peaches in the center of the rolled out dough and fold the edges over the fruit. It bakes heavenly and makes for a delicious treat with some whipped cream or ice cream!

6. Peach Salad

I used to be a firm believer that aside from tomato or avocado, no fruit had any reason to belong on a salad. How foolish I was! If you’re not in the mood to cook because of the summer heat, you can use the sweetness of peaches for a fresh, delicious salad. You just have to toss your greens with your sliced peaches, add some mozzarella or feta and a light vinaigrette.

7. Peach Jam

Homemade jams are a great way to use up a lot of fruits! We love cooking down our peaches with sugar and some lemon juice until they simmer down to thick perfection! Everyone in our household loves peach jam, and it’s perfect to spread on toast, pancakes, donuts or even to use as a cake filling.

8. Peach Iced Tea

Iced tea is a perfect drink to leisurely sip on during a hot day. You can make your own iced tea with a peach flavor right at home! Just brew your favorite tea with peaches, or you can use homemade peach syrup instead by cooking them in sugar and water until they become soft and tender. Serve the peach tea with ice and add some lemon if you’re in the mood for it.

9. Peach Muffins

You can make these delicious treats with peaches, and they’ll come out perfectly moist and fluffy! Simply add diced peaches to your usual muffin batter and bake until golden brown. When I’m really craving some sweetness, I admit that I even add some delicious peach jam over it!

10. Peach Sorbet

I will be honest with you: I wouldn’t survive summer without a sorbet on hand, and that’s why I always keep a batch of homemade sorbet in the freezer for those days when we don’t have the time or energy to go out! It’s a super refreshing and light treat. You just have to cook up your peaches with some sugar and lemon juice for some added zestiness. You can then strain the syrupy mixture and freeze it until solid before mixing it to create a creamy texture. Or if you have an ice-cream maker, just use it as intended!

11. Peach Bruschetta

Here’s yet another twist to a very classic appetizer! Instead of using tomatoes, you can dice up your peaches and top toasted baguette slices with them. Add some fresh basil, and goat cheese and drizzle with some honey for the perfect sweet and savory treat!

12. Peach Upside-Down Cake

I feel like upside-down cakes are gorgeous and delicious desserts! Just arrange your peach neatly in the bottom of a pan and a caramelized mixture consisting of brown sugar and butter to ensure it doesn’t burn and stick to the pan. Then you’ll simply pour your cake batter (in which you can add diced peaches!) over it and bake until golden. You’ll just have to turn it over onto a plate and voilà! A beautiful and fancy sweet dessert.
