My sister is currently renovating the apartment her husband and her have managed to buy after years of saving. They have two cute little girls and were looking forward to upgrading their living space from their tiny one-bedroom place!

And since they’ve basically started from an empty shell of a house, it meant that they had to spend a lot of time curating ideas to create their own dream house. Since my brother-in-law only had his heart set on modeling and decorating the kitchen since cooking is his personal passion, he left everything else to my sister’s taste. And when she came to me for ideas, I just couldn’t say no!

While we were both looking for ideas for her house, I stumbled across the cutest little apartment, and I simply had to share the decor with you guys! It’s literally perfect for those tiny spaces, and some of the elements are just so soft and cozy. My sister and I stole some of the ideas from this place to decorate my nieces’ bedroom, and it’s just so cute!

Decorating a Tiny Living Room

Flower Print | Psychedelic Poster | Areca Palm | Teal Sofa | Pink Twisted Candle + Glass Candle Holder | Rug | Ottoman | Glass Cabinet | Pillows

When you’ve got a small apartment or space to furnish, the secret is to try to arrange everything without making it look cluttered. You can use different textures on cushions or a small sofa in a soft color, while rugs and plants add directly to the ambiance and give it some pizzazz. You can add a small ottoman, for example, to provide more places to sit without taking up too much space!

Decorating a Tiny Apartment Bedroom

Mattress | Bed Cover | Coffee Table | DIY Table Pins | Curtains | Neon Tube Lights | Prints | Plant

This one is for those of you whose house is so tiny you can’t even get your bedframe through the doors. Trust me, I’ve been there and I know the pain! You can still spruce up a small bedroom, no matter how cramped, with a few fun little touches! A small bed with a nice comforter, pretty curtains that are the same size as the window, a few plants and pictures, and you’re done! You can even add a cozy touch with soft lighting or candles.

Decorating a Window Corner in a Small Apartment

Mirror Wardrobe | Discoball | Organization Crates | Fairy Lights

For a small apartment, it’s important not to block too much the view of the window, as it will add brightness and freshness to the room. And here’s a little tip: if you have a wall adjacent to your window, try putting a large mirror (or a mirrored wardrobe to gain storage space!) on it. It’ll make the room look bigger!

Bloc Table + DIY Pink Tiles | Vertical Shelves | Round Mirror | Glass Table

To save even more space in a small apartment, I strongly advise you to opt for vertical shelves! They take up less space and you can put lots of cool little decorations on them. Small tables or glass tables are also preferable, as they’re more discreet and less imposing. And don’t forget my little tip about mirrors: they really reflect the room and give the illusion of more space!

That’s all for today. I hope this post has given you some ideas for decorating your own tiny apartment. See you soon!
